11 US States Where Feral Hogs Are Expanding Fastest

Feral hogs have established a continuous expansion pattern throughout the United States during the last several decades. The animals show exceptional adaptability which enables them to succeed in diverse environments including forests, farmland, wetlands, and suburban areas. Wildlife agencies continue to track their movements because their populations now extend into fresh territories. The following list displays states which have experienced substantial feral hog population growth during recent times.

Texas

Texas contains the biggest feral hog population throughout the United States. The combination of expansive rural spaces and mild winter weather and agricultural regions creates an environment which enables constant population growth and movement of wildlife.

Oklahoma

Oklahoma has experienced ongoing expansion which covers both its grassland areas and its forested spaces. Wildlife officials track new county reports as hogs adapt to diverse terrain.

Arkansas

Arkansas’ forests and river systems provide strong habitat corridors. The population has spread across both agricultural areas and natural landscapes.

Louisiana
